iulia bodeanu
Iulia Bodeanu grew up in Davis, CA and relished a childhood filled with opportunities. As a child she adopted a long haired orange cat named Katie. Katie taught Iulia responsibility, how to be gentle, playful, and loving. Katie was clever. She caught mice and brought them to Iulia's doorstep, which grossed out her family, but made Iulia feel cared for by her furry friend. Katie was a great companion until she passed of cancer when Iulia started high school. Iulia went off to college at UC Berkeley and studied English and Art History, got her masters in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University and returned to Yolo County to find her place among friends and family. Iulia settled in Woodland, CA only a short drive from Davis.
After 10 years in the field of museum education she began work at the County of Yolo and adopted a tuxedo cat named Mayer. Mayer is cute, playful, curious and protective. With dog-like instincts he greets Iulia when she arrives home, rubs his head on her shoes and rests peacefully next to her while watching Netfilx. Iulia is a proud cat owner and well regarded dog sitter. Along with being an animal lover she also has experience working with nonprofits, governmental organizations and community groups to serve the needs of the public. Iulia is excited to serve as the Secretary to the Loving Link Foundation board of directors to improve the health and welfare of animals in our community.
