Eunah Preston

Eunah is the president of Loving Link Foundation and a marketing and communications professional with the UC Davis Weill School of Veterinary Medicine. Outside of her professional role, she has dedicated much of her community service to supporting animals and the people who love them.

Her connection to shelter animals began with Pogo, her first childhood dog. Eunah’s family adopted Pogo from a Sacramento-area shelter after spending nearly a year visiting municipal shelters throughout the region every weekend in search of the right dog. Pogo turned out to be, in Eunah’s estimation, the best dog on the planet. But the experience of seeing shelters full of animals week after week also left a lasting impression.

That early experience eventually led Eunah to begin volunteering at her local animal shelter before college. Years later, she returned to shelter volunteering and became even more deeply involved, working directly with dogs, helping run adoption events, and supporting shelter communications. Through that work, she has seen firsthand both the incredible bond people share with their pets and the difficult consequences that can arise when families cannot access affordable veterinary services, including spay and neuter.

Those experiences inspired Eunah to create Loving Link Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to spay/neuter services for low-income pet owners through partnerships with veterinary clinics and community organizations. Through Loving Link Foundation, she hopes to help more pets remain healthy and loved in their homes while addressing one of the preventable factors contributing to animal shelter intake.
